Throughout recorded history volumes have been written about the complicated relationship that is mother and daughter. We all want to see our daughters try new things and experience many activities throughout their lives. Horseback riding is a gift for a lifetime. It is also a sport that mothers and daughters can participate in together.
Lynn and Vanessa Andrews forged a strong mother daughter relationship through horseback riding. Both women are life long horseback riders. We met them at the North Texas American Saddlebred Horse Association show at the Las Colinas Equestrian Center in October of 2011. Lynn gives mothers everywhere a lesson into how valuable horseback riding is to the emotional spirit of a teenage daughter. She is also involved in using Arabian horses for therapy with veterans suffering from PTSD. Lynn is the internationally acclaimed author of the Medicine Woman Series. Vanessa is a real estate agent specializing in luxury ranch properties. Although Vanessa is a lifelong rider, she turned her interest to riding American Saddlebreds and trains at the Mill-Again Stables in Plano, Texas.
